April Online Meeting - Promotion

These cards where designed as a promotional tool for our MTB races. The idea was to have business cards beside cash registers in the shop and have them hand them out, directing people to our web site for more information.

I priced out that it is roughly $100 for 1000 cards. We have roughly $120 in our budget for these types of promotions. 1000 cards distributed to roughly 10 supporting shops might last a few days or a week or two, do we want to pursue this? Can somebody get a better price than this?

  1. At the shop when someone pays for something they should be asked if they want info on races. If they say yes email addresses should be collected that way everything could be sent in one big email to everyone.I think alot of the cards would just get thrown out.

  2. 100 cards at 10 shops is better than nothing at all. That price sounds about right for colour. Small investment if you ask me, I think we should be doing far more though.

  3. I agree - more would be better, funding is the issue though. Will get Ron to look into this so we can distribute this week.

  4. Does it have to be colour? maybe we could get more cards in B&W instead? Flash is nice but as long as it gets the message across.

  5. Printing would not be significantly less $ at these quantities.
